A break, for a moment, from the Terrible Team and a digression about one of their friends, Jane Tanner, subject of no doubt groundless rumours that she and Robert Murat might be meeting in Lagos, Portugal.
M/S Tanner’s sighting of the fleeing abductor has been the subject of endless debate, leaving us all drowning in conflicting detail. But the detail doesn’t matter. The very simple question is, is she a reliable eye witness?
Forget all the questions and allegations surrounding the sighting, as Jane herself dismissed them in a memorable outburst to the Leicester Police:
“... you know we’re not a bunch of swingers that went out there for a swinging holiday, I can’t think of anything to be worse to be honest but yeah, we didn’t go out there on a swingers holiday to dump our kids in the kids club while we got pissed and shagged each other you know, that’s not what we did.”
